Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy can also treat imbalances of the autonomic nervous system which become quite prominent in the presence of vaginismus or other types of chronic pain.
Education about the role of anxiety, stress, and sexual intimacy can also be helpful in addressing the underlying causes of vaginismus.
